Questions, answered
The questions prospective patients ask most often — about how this practice works, what recovery really involves, and how surgery, aesthetics and longevity medicine fit together under one roof.
General
What makes Sieveking different from other practices?
Three disciplines, one care team. Dr. Sieveking is the only Stanford-trained, triple-board-certified plastic surgeon in Middle Tennessee who also leads a longevity practice. You stay with the same physician from skin care to surgery to long-term healthspan work.
Where are you located, and what are your hours?
1200 Old Hillsboro Road, Suite B2, Franklin, TN 37069. Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM by appointment only.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes — on all three sides of the practice. New surgical, aesthetic, and Ageless Solutions consultations can usually be booked within two to four weeks of your call.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, credit, HSA, and FSA. Surgical patients can also finance through PatientFi or CareCredit — our coordinators walk you through either at consultation.
Can I tour the facility before booking?
Of course. Many patients meet our team and see the suite before scheduling. Call us and we will set aside fifteen minutes for a walkthrough — no consultation required.
Do you see patients from out of state?
Regularly. We can begin with a secure virtual consultation, arrange travel logistics around your surgical date, and coordinate local lodging recommendations near Franklin.
Plastic Surgery
How long is recovery from a facelift?
Most patients return to social activities at two weeks. Subtle swelling and skin tightening continue to refine for several months. Dr. Sieveking will walk you through a day-by-day recovery timeline at your consultation.
Will my results look natural?
Dr. Sieveking is known for a refined, conservative approach. Every consultation begins with what he would and would not recommend. If a procedure would not produce a natural, balanced result, he will say so.
Is the surgery center on-site?
Yes. Our accredited surgical suite sits inside 1200 Old Hillsboro Road, in the same building as your consultation. You meet your surgeon and have your surgery at one address.
What kind of anesthesia is used?
Most procedures are performed under general or deep IV sedation administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist. Smaller revisions may be handled with local anesthesia. We will discuss what is right for your case.
Is there an age limit for plastic surgery?
Health, not age, is the deciding factor. Dr. Sieveking performs surgery on patients well into their seventies when their preoperative health and surgical goals warrant it.
How far in advance should I book a surgical consultation?
For most procedures, surgery is scheduled six to twelve weeks after consultation. If you have a target event date, build in at least six months of runway — and longer for body work that benefits from preoperative weight or hormone optimization.
Medical Aesthetics
How is your medical aesthetics different from a standalone med spa?
Every treatment is overseen by a triple-board-certified plastic surgeon and delivered by a master injector with national-trainer credentials. The clinical rigor matches the surgical side of the practice.
How often will I need maintenance treatments?
It depends on the treatment. Toxins are typically every three to four months. Biostimulators are scheduled in a series and then maintained quarterly. Susie Cody will build a plan around your goals and budget.
Who performs my injections and treatments?
Susie Cody RN, CANS — a master injector and former Galderma national trainer — under the medical direction of Dr. Sieveking. Laser and skin work is performed by our trained aestheticians within the same standard of care.
Will I have downtime after a treatment?
Most injectables and light-based treatments allow you to return to your day. Resurfacing lasers and biostimulator series can produce two to seven days of social downtime — we will preview exactly what to expect.
How long before I see results?
Toxins begin to soften lines in three to five days. Fillers and biostimulators continue to refine over twelve to sixteen weeks as collagen rebuilds. Laser and resurfacing work peaks in clarity around the three-month mark.
What should I expect at my first aesthetic visit?
A facial assessment, a candid conversation about what you are and are not a candidate for, and a treatment plan written for your face — not a menu. Many patients leave the first visit with one small, conservative treatment.
Ageless Solutions
Do I need to be a surgical patient to access Ageless Solutions?
No. Ageless Solutions accepts patients independently of the surgical side of the practice. Many patients begin here.
Is GLP-1 the right step before surgery?
For patients who would benefit from significant weight loss before body work — often, yes. We will run labs and design a six-to-twelve-month protocol so you arrive at surgery in the right place metabolically and otherwise.
Does insurance cover any of this?
Functional and longevity medicine is cash-pay. We provide superbills and documentation you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. HSA and FSA are accepted.
How often will I need lab work?
Comprehensive labs at intake, then targeted re-checks every three to six months while your protocol is being optimized. Annual labs are standard once you are stable.
Are supplements and peptides included in the membership?
Membership covers physician oversight and visits. Supplements, peptides, and GLP-1 medications are billed separately and sourced from accredited compounding pharmacies.
Do you offer telehealth follow-ups?
Yes. After your in-person intake, ongoing visits with Jan Stanley RN, MS or Dr. Sieveking can be done by secure video for patients across Tennessee.
Consultations
What happens in a first consultation?
An unhurried conversation. Dr. Sieveking will examine you, listen to what you are considering, and tell you what he would and would not recommend. You will leave with a clear understanding of options, recovery, and cost.
How long is a typical consultation?
Plan on sixty to ninety minutes for a surgical consultation. Aesthetic and Ageless consultations are typically forty-five to sixty.
Can I bring my partner or a friend?
Always. We encourage it. Many patients find a second set of ears helpful for the recovery and aftercare conversation.
What should I bring or prepare?
A list of your current medications and supplements, any prior surgical records relevant to what you are exploring, and your questions written down. That is enough.
Will Dr. Sieveking encourage me to get a second opinion?
For elective surgery — yes. It is a decision worth taking time on, and patients who shop carefully usually arrive more confident in the surgeon they choose.
How are follow-ups scheduled between procedures?
Surgical patients return at one week, three weeks, three months, six months, and one year. Aesthetic and Ageless follow-ups are scheduled around the cadence of each protocol.
The rest is best answered in person.
Most questions worth asking depend on your anatomy, your history and your goals. A consultation is where those get answered properly.
